Ephraim's Iniquity

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
whenever I would heal Israel, the sins of Ephraim are exposed and the crimes of Samaria revealed. They practice deceit, thieves break into houses, bandits rob in the streets;1when I would heal Israel, the iniquity of Ephraim is revealed, and the evil deeds of Samaria, for they deal falsely; the thief breaks in, and the bandits raid outside.1When I would heal Israel, The iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered, And the evil deeds of Samaria, For they deal falsely; The thief enters in, Bandits raid outside,1When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.1when I heal Israel, the sins of Ephraim and the crimes of Samaria will be exposed. For they practice fraud; a thief breaks in; a raiding party pillages outside.
but they do not realize that I remember all their evil deeds. Their sins engulf them; they are always before me.2But they do not consider that I remember all their evil. Now their deeds surround them; they are before my face.2And they do not consider in their hearts That I remember all their wickedness. Now their deeds are all around them; They are before My face.2And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.2But they never consider that I remember all their evil. Now their sins are all around them; they are right in front of My face.
"They delight the king with their wickedness, the princes with their lies.3By their evil they make the king glad, and the princes by their treachery.3With their wickedness they make the king glad, And the princes with their lies.3They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.3They please the king with their evil, the princes with their lies.
They are all adulterers, burning like an oven whose fire the baker need not stir from the kneading of the dough till it rises.4They are all adulterers; they are like a heated oven whose baker ceases to stir the fire, from the kneading of the dough until it is leavened.4They are all adulterers, Like an oven heated by the baker Who ceases to stir up the fire From the kneading of the dough until it is leavened.4They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.4All of them commit adultery; they are like an oven heated by a baker who stops stirring the fire from the kneading of the dough until it is leavened.

On the day of the festival of our king the princes become inflamed with wine, and he joins hands with the mockers.5On the day of our king, the princes became sick with the heat of wine; he stretched out his hand with mockers.5On the day of our king, the princes became sick with the heat of wine; He stretched out his hand with scoffers,5In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.5On the day of our king, the princes are sick with the heat of wine-- there is a conspiracy with traitors.
Their hearts are like an oven; they approach him with intrigue. Their passion smolders all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.6For with hearts like an oven they approach their intrigue; all night their anger smolders; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.6For their hearts are like an oven As they approach their plotting; Their anger smolders all night, In the morning it burns like a flaming fire.6For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.6For they--their hearts like an oven-- draw him into their oven. Their anger smolders all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.
All of them are hot as an oven; they devour their rulers. All their kings fall, and none of them calls on me.7All of them are hot as an oven, and they devour their rulers. All their kings have fallen, and none of them calls upon me.7All of them are hot like an oven, And they consume their rulers; All their kings have fallen. None of them calls on Me.7They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.7All of them are as hot as an oven, and they consume their rulers. All their kings fall; not one of them calls on Me.
"Ephraim mixes with the nations; Ephraim is a flat loaf not turned over.8Ephraim mixes himself with the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned.8Ephraim mixes himself with the nations; Ephraim has become a cake not turned.8Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.8Ephraim has allowed himself to get mixed up with the nations. Ephraim is unturned bread baked on a griddle.
Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice.9Strangers devour his strength, and he knows it not; gray hairs are sprinkled upon him, and he knows it not.9Strangers devour his strength, Yet he does not know it; Gray hairs also are sprinkled on him, Yet he does not know it.9Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.9Foreigners consume his strength, but he does not notice. Even his hair is streaked with gray, but he does not notice.

Israel's arrogance testifies against him, but despite all this he does not return to the LORD his God or search for him.10The pride of Israel testifies to his face; yet they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him, for all this.10Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, Yet they have not returned to the LORD their God, Nor have they sought Him, for all this.10And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.10Israel's arrogance testifies against them, yet they do not return to Yahweh their God, and for all this, they do not seek Him.
"Ephraim is like a dove, easily deceived and senseless-- now calling to Egypt, now turning to Assyria.11Ephraim is like a dove, silly and without sense, calling to Egypt, going to Assyria.11So Ephraim has become like a silly dove, without sense; They call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.11Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.11So Ephraim has become like a silly, senseless dove; they call to Egypt, and they go to Assyria.
When they go, I will throw my net over them; I will pull them down like the birds in the sky. When I hear them flocking together, I will catch them.12As they go, I will spread over them my net; I will bring them down like birds of the heavens; I will discipline them according to the report made to their congregation.12When they go, I will spread My net over them; I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. I will chastise them in accordance with the proclamation to their assembly.12When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.12As they are going, I will spread My net over them; I will bring them down like birds of the sky. I will discipline them in accordance with the news that reaches their assembly.
Woe to them, because they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, because they have rebelled against me! I long to redeem them but they speak about me falsely.13Woe to them, for they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, for they have rebelled against me! I would redeem them, but they speak lies against me.13Woe to them, for they have strayed from Me! Destruction is theirs, for they have rebelled against Me! I would redeem them, but they speak lies against Me.13Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.13Woe to them, for they fled from Me; destruction to them, for they rebelled against Me! Though I want to redeem them, they speak lies against Me.
They do not cry out to me from their hearts but wail on their beds. They slash themselves, appealing to their gods for grain and new wine, but they turn away from me.14They do not cry to me from the heart, but they wail upon their beds; for grain and wine they gash themselves; they rebel against me.14And they do not cry to Me from their heart When they wail on their beds; For the sake of grain and new wine they assemble themselves, They turn away from Me.14And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.14They do not cry to Me from their hearts; rather, they wail on their beds. They slash themselves for grain and new wine; they turn away from Me.

I trained them and strengthened their arms, but they plot evil against me.15Although I trained and strengthened their arms, yet they devise evil against me.15Although I trained and strengthened their arms, Yet they devise evil against Me.15Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.15I trained and strengthened their arms, but they plot evil against Me.
They do not turn to the Most High; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of their insolent words. For this they will be ridiculed in the land of Egypt.16They return, but not upward; they are like a treacherous bow; their princes shall fall by the sword because of the insolence of their tongue. This shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.16They turn, but not upward, They are like a deceitful bow; Their princes will fall by the sword Because of the insolence of their tongue. This will be their derision in the land of Egypt.16They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.16They turn, but not to what is above; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of the cursing of their tongue. They will be ridiculed for this in the land of Egypt.
