In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword-- his fierce, great and powerful sword-- Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.1In that day the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.1In that day the LORD will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.1In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.1On that day the LORD with His harsh, great, and strong sword, will bring judgment on Leviathan, the fleeing serpent--Leviathan, the twisting serpent. He will slay the monster that is in the sea.
In that day-- "Sing about a fruitful vineyard:2In that day, “A pleasant vineyard, sing of it!2In that day, "A vineyard of wine, sing of it!2In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.2On that day sing about a desirable vineyard:
I, the LORD, watch over it; I water it continually. I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it.3I, the LORD, am its keeper; every moment I water it. Lest anyone punish it, I keep it night and day;3"I, the LORD, am its keeper; I water it every moment. So that no one will damage it, I guard it night and day.3I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.3I, Yahweh, watch over it; I water it regularly. I guard it night and day so that no one disturbs it.
I am not angry. If only there were briers and thorns confronting me! I would march against them in battle; I would set them all on fire.4I have no wrath. Would that I had thorns and briers to battle! I would march against them, I would burn them up together.4"I have no wrath. Should someone give Me briars and thorns in battle, Then I would step on them, I would burn them completely.4Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.4I am not angry, but if it produces thorns and briers for Me, I will fight against it, trample it, and burn it to the ground.

Or else let them come to me for refuge; let them make peace with me, yes, let them make peace with me."5Or let them lay hold of my protection, let them make peace with me, let them make peace with me.”5"Or let him rely on My protection, Let him make peace with Me, Let him make peace with Me."5Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.5Or let it take hold of My strength; let it make peace with Me-- make peace with Me.
In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit.6In days to come Jacob shall take root, Israel shall blossom and put forth shoots and fill the whole world with fruit.6In the days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will blossom and sprout, And they will fill the whole world with fruit.6He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.6In days to come, Jacob will take root. Israel will blossom and bloom and fill the whole world with fruit.
Has the LORD struck her as he struck down those who struck her? Has she been killed as those were killed who killed her?7Has he struck them as he struck those who struck them? Or have they been slain as their slayers were slain?7Like the striking of Him who has struck them, has He struck them? Or like the slaughter of His slain, have they been slain?7Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?7Did the LORD strike Israel as He struck the one who struck Israel? Was he killed like those killed by Him?
By warfare and exile you contend with her-- with his fierce blast he drives her out, as on a day the east wind blows.8Measure by measure, by exile you contended with them; he removed them with his fierce breath in the day of the east wind.8You contended with them by banishing them, by driving them away. With His fierce wind He has expelled them on the day of the east wind.8In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.8You disputed with her by banishing and driving her away. He removed her with His severe storm on the day of the east wind.
By this, then, will Jacob's guilt be atoned for, and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin: When he makes all the altar stones to be like limestone crushed to pieces, no Asherah poles or incense altars will be left standing.9Therefore by this the guilt of Jacob will be atoned for, and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin: when he makes all the stones of the altars like chalkstones crushed to pieces, no Asherim or incense altars will remain standing.9Therefore through this Jacob's iniquity will be forgiven; And this will be the full price of the pardoning of his sin: When he makes all the altar stones like pulverized chalk stones; When Asherim and incense altars will not stand.9By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.9Therefore Jacob's iniquity will be purged in this way, and the result of the removal of his sin will be this: when he makes all the altar stones like crushed bits of chalk, no Asherah poles or incense altars will remain standing.

The fortified city stands desolate, an abandoned settlement, forsaken like the wilderness; there the calves graze, there they lie down; they strip its branches bare.10For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness; there the calf grazes; there it lies down and strips its branches.10For the fortified city is isolated, A homestead forlorn and forsaken like the desert; There the calf will graze, And there it will lie down and feed on its branches.10Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.10For the fortified city will be deserted, pastures abandoned and forsaken like a wilderness. Calves will graze there, and there they will spread out and strip its branches.
When its twigs are dry, they are broken off and women come and make fires with them. For this is a people without understanding; so their Maker has no compassion on them, and their Creator shows them no favor.11When its boughs are dry, they are broken; women come and make a fire of them. For this is a people without discernment; therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them; he who formed them will show them no favor.11When its limbs are dry, they are broken off; Women come and make a fire with them, For they are not a people of discernment, Therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them. And their Creator will not be gracious to them.11When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.11When its branches dry out, they will be broken off. Women will come and make fires with them, for they are not a people with understanding. Therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them, and their Creator will not be gracious to them.
In that day the LORD will thresh from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt, and you, Israel, will be gathered up one by one.12In that day from the river Euphrates to the Brook of Egypt the LORD will thresh out the grain, and you will be gleaned one by one, O people of Israel.12In that day the LORD will start His threshing from the flowing stream of the Euphrates to the brook of Egypt, and you will be gathered up one by one, O sons of Israel.12And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.12On that day the LORD will thresh grain from the Euphrates River as far as the Wadi of Egypt, and you Israelites will be gathered one by one.
And in that day a great trumpet will sound. Those who were perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will come and worship the LORD on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.13And in that day a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt will come and worship the LORD on the holy mountain at Jerusalem.13It will come about also in that day that a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were perishing in the land of Assyria and who were scattered in the land of Egypt will come and worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.13And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.13On that day a great trumpet will be blown, and those lost in the land of Assyria will come, as well as those dispersed in the land of Egypt; and they will worship the LORD at Jerusalem on the holy mountain.
