The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.2The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.2The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God.2The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.2The LORD looks down from heaven on the human race to see if there is one who is wise, one who seeks God.
All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.3They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.3They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.3They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.3All have turned away; all alike have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one.
Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on the LORD.4Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD?4Do all the workers of wickedness not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.4Will evildoers never understand? They consume My people as they consume bread; they do not call on the LORD.

But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous.5There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.5There they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous generation.5There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.5Then they will be filled with terror, for God is with those who are righteous.
You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge.6You would shame the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.6You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the LORD is his refuge.6Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.6You sinners frustrate the plans of the afflicted, but the LORD is his refuge.
Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!7Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.7Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.7Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.7Oh, that Israel's deliverance would come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of His people, Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be glad.
