5Asaph was the chief, and next to him in rank were Zechariah, then Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel. David's Psalm of Thanksgiving

7That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise to the LORD in this manner:7Then on that day David first appointed that thanksgiving be sung to the LORD by Asaph and his brothers.7Then on that day David first assigned Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to the LORD.7Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.7On that day David decreed for the first time that thanks be given to the LORD by Asaph and his relatives:

Worship Before the Ark

42Heman and Jeduthun were responsible for the sounding of the trumpets and cymbals and for the playing of the other instruments for sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were stationed at the gate.42Heman and Jeduthun had trumpets and cymbals for the music and instruments for sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were appointed to the gate.42And with them were Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those who should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun for the gate.42And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.42Heman and Jeduthun had with them trumpets and cymbals to play and musical instruments of God. Jeduthun's sons were at the gate.
